Vicki and Steve welcome you to Holestone Moor Barns.

Our five star self catering holiday cottages sleep up to 16. They are luxury conversions from 200 year old stone farm buildings, and stand adjacent to our own house.

The Barn (sleeps 11, plus a "Z-bed" and a baby) and The Stables (sleeps 4 + baby), but many of our guests hire Both Cottages together (sleeps 15, plus a "Z-bed" and 2 babies), and enjoy having the whole place to themselves!

It's peaceful here at high lying Holestone Moor, away from main roads, yet only 4 miles from Matlock in the Derbyshire Dales.

Wildlife enthusiasts will be delighted to find rare animals and birds such as water voles, badgers, skylarks, and hares.

Children love to play hide and seek in the wood which is just part of our 6 acres of grounds. And if it's raining ... well there's always the games room and under 5's playroom.

We pride ourselves on offering everything you need to start your holiday or short break off - all you need to bring are clothes and food (and yourselves of course!).

Why don't you take a look inside?

The Barn (sleeps 11 plus a "Z-bed" and a cot, dines 16)

A beautiful and luxurious conversion of the old barn that has maintained the original features of the oak beams and stonework. The attention to detail makes The Barn a great place for individuals, groups or families to be together whilst enjoying their own private facilities.

There is a large and comfortably furnished lounge area, featuring a soaring apex ceiling - the full height of the barn, with oak beams, a stone fireplace with log-burning stove and a feature balcony. This room has a comfortable yet airy feeling - a great place to gather with your friends or family.

The barn also has a luxury fitted kitchen with everything you need for self catering and a separate dining room, seating 16.

A downstairs bedroom sleeping 2, with en-suite bathroom and wheel-in shower is suitable for wheelchair users.

Stairs lead to a further 4 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms:

All of the bedrooms have an individual style and 3 have a TV.

Each of the bathrooms has a shower (one over the bath) and shaver point.

The Stables (sleeps 4 + cot)

Another luxurious conversion of the old stables building with a comfortable, open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge, retaining original oak beams - all great for relaxed self catering.

Old stonework creates a feature fireplace with a log-burning stove.

There are two bedrooms - one double and one twin individually styled to give light and comfort. The well-equipped bathroom has a bath, shower and shaver point.
